Irwindale, California Speed Traps
Azusa Canyon Rd. & Olive St.
Motorcycle Cop sitting in the area waiting to catch the next person and literally any person. This is a high traffic area that drivers commute daily to work.
Speed limit is supposedly 30 MPH in this area turning off of Cypress St. on to Azusa Canyon Rd.
I-605 between I-10 and I-210
CHP heavily enforces speed limits in both directions of the 605 in this area. It’s pretty wide open, and traffic usually light, so it’s easy to get nabbed. Ka band radar, but lately some units seem to be laser gun equipped.
Irwindale Ave South from 210 freeway
Went to court today, 6 other tickets that day on Irwindale by same officer. Posted at 35, way slow for the empty industrial area. TRAP!
North bound on Azusa Canyon Rd, just before Arrow Highway
The Speed limit is 40 MPH, however it is used as an alternate route by many commuters. There is often a motorcyle cop hiding behind a white wall next to the Verizon building with his radar gun.
Cypress Street between N. Vincent/Irwindale Ave
Right at Merwin Elementary school at the Covina/Irwindale border the speed changes in the middle of the road…if you are headed west on Cypress you go from a 40 to a 35 MPH zone, east bound you go from a 35 to a 40 MPH zone. Irwindale PD is watching you
