Route 100 in the vicinity of the PA turnpike entrance ramp

Exton, PennsylvaniaDec 18, 20180 Comments

This is a fairly long section of Rt 100 with no nearby cross streets or other obstructions. Because of that, people tend to drive through this section at a pretty good clip, typically > 60-65 mph. The limit, however is 55mph. Cops will sit on the exit road from the PA Turnpike toll booth and monitor the Rt 100 traffic in both directions. Sometimes they will sit in the Eagleview jughandle and use VASCAR to measure the traffic speed on Rt 100 North.

Eagleview Boulevard

From either end of the this commercial road, there is a dip where cops usually wait in an unmarked pickup truck. The speed limit is 30MPH but because the road slopes down(from both direction) and the road is a little wide(with 2 lanes each way) for a 30MPH zone, your travel speed will tend to exceed the posted limit. Cops usually pull you over 5MPH above the limit.

West Whiteland Police Department is using the new device called ENRADD.
You can not see the police cars because they are 1/4 mile down the road – 3 of them
