Local law enforcement hides in driveway above SR 201 as motorists are entering or leaving Fayette City. Unmarked cars are often used. SR 201 south of FC also heavily patrolled. Officer sits at base of Sisley Rd. unseen by cars proceeding north into FC.
State Highway 201 near Interstate 70
Fayette City Pennsylvania uses multiple speed traps through their city. The first is located as you enter the city from either side on route 201. If heading on route 201 south through fayette city you encounter the first site just after Crystal Pool. The second site is right beside the volunteer fire station.
If driving 201 north (From Gillespie) the first site is just as the speed limit drops from 35 to a mind numbing 25. The police like to back into driveways, and up steep grades as not to be detected.
