Kern, California Speed Traps

We were coming down a hill. There were several highway patrol cars just waiting and/or using laser speed radars. I was in the middle lane, and one of them just followed us and gave us a ticket for going over the speed limit of 65. He made it for 91 miles and there was no way it was 91 miles. He just did it to max up the speed ticket. A mile down or so…more patrol cars writing tickets. It was a pretty high slopped hill, the speed limit should be more like 70 miles per hour at the least.

Entering Bakersfield south bound on 99 from Delano, at approximately 7th Standard off ramp, begins a daily speed trap where numerous motorists are pulled over, usually by motorcycle officers, between 7th Standard and Olive Drive offramps.

This section has a decline as you come down andd cannot see under the overpass. As you hit it there is a Highway Patrol on the entrance ramp with a hand held radar and 4 cars lined up to get who he decides on. I was in the middle of a pack of 5 vehicles and got side for exceeding 65. Not the case
