Potts Hill Rd.

Fairview Township Dodge Charger sometimes sits at the bottom of a fairly steep downgrade about one mile from I 83 going towards Lewisberry. The road is called Wyndemere closer to 83.
He sits on the right side of the road, on private property. Speed Limit 35 is difficult to adhere to on the hill.

Navoo Rd. is a connection between Rt.382 Lewisberry Rd & Rt.114 Main St. Lisburn. Leaving Lewisberry Rd. onto Nauvoo Rd. you will proceed downhill gaining speed past a few homes, into the woods. There is a farmhouse, a small stone parking lot, tall bamboo, then the red farmhouse it belongs to. You will see the stripes painted on the road for timing. Fairview Township cruiser has often been seen laying low in the driveway. The bamboo from this direction keeps you from detecting him. Enforced as an easy turnaround point after catching his last victim from Lewisberry Rd.

The officer sits at the park entrance on the left as you enter Lewisberry, PA from the east. They have also been seen parked on the right on 4th st. They seem to monitor traffic in both directions. Sometimes multiple cars are used. Speed limit through this area is 35mph. (Potts Hill Road/Rt 177)

State Rt 382 (

Lewisberry, PennsylvaniaJun 19, 20030 Comments

A marked Fairview Township cruiser will be parked in a private drive next to a lonely old house with red siding. This house is on the left as you head into Lewisberry. It is near the used lawnmower dealer that sits on the right side of the same road.

The cruiser is usually hidden by an old Chevrolet pickup truck that sits in the house’s driveway. The speed limit drops to 45mph (from 55 mph) very close to the officer’s location. Rt 382 is wide and flat, and you will likely find yourself driving 55 to 65mph as you pass the first of two 45 mph signs. You will probably be tailgated if you slow down to 45mph even gradually; it is ironic that compliance with the posted limit will likely increase the chances of others passing you in an unsafe manner (or hitting the rear of your vehicle) in an attempt to maintain their speed.

It should be noted that speeding out of Lewisberry on Rt 382 – on the same road directly past the cruiser’s location – gives you a much lower probability of being ticketed than does maintaining your higher speed as you approach Lewisberry (which has one four-way red blinker and few houses on the road where the 45mph speed limit is periodically enforced using the "sight" method.)
