In Stowe Twp. on McCoy Road between Tap Club and Norwood

Mckees Rocks, PennsylvaniaFeb 20, 20110 Comments

Stowe Twp. has hired a former Kilbuck Twp. police officer solely to write tickets to raise revenue – this was confirmed by one of the former Twp. commissioners who voted against hiring this officer. He pledged to write a specific number of tickets per day if hired and he is going all out to do so. He is following the old Kilbuck philosophy – tinted windows, dirty license plates, burned out tail lights, etc. – along with tickets for two or three miles over the limit – all reasons to write tickets with healthy fines. The only saving grace is to appeal every ticket as this goofball pulled over the local magistrate twice, so she has no love for him and unless the ticket is for a really egregious offense, she will normally dismiss it or knock the fine down to a minimum with no points. Watch for him hiding in a grove of trees just past the bend below the Tap Club on the left if you are heading toward McKees Rocks or on the right if heading toward Kennedy Twp. He normally drives a black police car with white lettering and usually works the afternoons although rumor in the Township is that he worked out a deal with the police chief to set his own hours and locations as long as he continues to produce the ticket revenue. Also, don’t even try to talk to him if he pulls you over as he still has the old Kilbuck mentality which is to berate you and be as imtimidating a jerk as it is possible to be.

Helen St. at Graham St.

At the stop sign at the corner of Helen St. and Graham St. Local police watch for people not coming to a full and complete stop. Also watch for anyone going too fast. Speed limit signs on Graham are sometimes hard to see because of trucks parked along the berm.
