The sargent that lives to do this sits in the cemetary driveway behind some bushes. He uses a stop watch and bases your speed when you cross the painted white lines. The speed limit is posted 40mph, which is a bit too slow in my opinion but this trap is in a gulley so either direction you come from you will tend to pick up speed. Watch out.

Cherry Street near Wilshire Road

Heading northbound on Cherry Street, drivers hit a steep hill around West 57th Street. The speed limit is 25 mph. The trap is usually set at Wilshire Road. If you are going the speed limit at the top of the hill and then coast to Wilshire without braking, you will be at about 40 mph. Occasionally, the trap will move to Ruth Avenue, but I think cops prefer Wilshire because its further downhill and easier to catch people.
