Lynn, Massachusetts Speed Traps

There are 2 cops that always sit in a Big Ford Expedition just up toward the end of the common on the side of the road and they will usually be outside. They also sometimes sit in the middle of the common so they can catch vehicles in both directions.

Townies sit at ends of side streets between cemetary and Linwood Ave lights, sometimes stand outside of vehicle. Very easy street to exceed posted 30 mph. Will walk or nose out into street as you approach. Usually mid-day to afternoon. This is residential, but easy to speed.

They will hide behind the Porthole resturant, you cant see them at all from a distance. You see them as soon as they see you, which for me was to late. Definitely didnt like the $205 ticket. It is posted as 35MPH which i think is a little low for that area so be careful.

Sometimes they are in plain sight, sometimes they hide but because it’s a school zone the speed limit is 20 and they stop many people.
