Description: The cops view this intersection while they sit in a doughnut shop! Their real specialty is to write you for running a yellow light that is the minimum three seconds long. On my court day there were two others cases just like mine.

They got me too. Although I was in the intersection when the light turned from yellow to red and completed my turn: I went to court to fight it and the cop said I wasn't in the intersection and guess who the judge believed.

Be careful in Almont. Like others have said, they will pull you over randomly. I have also been harassed by them for simply parking in the lot behind Huddles to smoke a cigarette.

I have also seen them just south of town just before the first curve, if you're heading south they are actually in the field on your right. It sits on a slight hill and they are behind some weeds.I was headed north and just caught the front of the car up in the weeds

I live in Almont and go to this bakery about once a week and there are very seldom police officers there. Mostly it's just retired gentlemen getting together for some company. Now they do sit across the street sometimes in the gas satation, but that is because it has been robbed a few times. Just because it's a small town doesn't mean that they have a bunch of hick cops just waiting to pull you over. This corner is very bad for people driving through on their way up north of just blowing through the light. There have been very bad accidents here in Almont from people running lights, speedy or drunk driving. So please when drinving through our town, or anywhere, please be careful and obey the traffic laws so that all of us can be safer on the roads.

Every day for 3 yrs I have used Almont Road heading towards M-53 and have never seen a cop sitting at the doughnut shop. I have always seen one sitting at the bottom of the hill in front of the power station faceing West catching speeders in the 25 mph going East. One also sits at the south end of town, usually early early morning, facing south on the north bound side in the plant nursery driveway.

I live in Almont as well and I have seen the cops sitting at the doughnut shop. They also sit in the parking lot behind Huddles & Mikeys. As far as Almont Rd... I cant say that I have seen them near the church, I usually see them farther east near Kidder Rd.

Don't ever drive thru the town after midnight, they randomly pull people over for (various made up reasons) then ask how much you have had to drink. B carefull in that town!

I am from ALmont. They do not sit in the donut shop, they sit down on St. Clair St. by the church. If you watch your speed you wouldn't have to worry. Just stop for the light, everyone else does.

I have been through Almont hundreds of times at all hours and have never seen a police car at the doughnut shop. Don't run red lights and the police won't stop you.

Tell that to all the people who were in court the day of my ticket. It's a revenue trap pure and simple. Have a good day officer!
