Latitude: 40.2996
Longitude: -83.0637
Description: US 23 drops to 45 MPH south of Main Rd. This in itself isn't unfair, but persons traveling at 55 MPH are likely to get a ticket costing over $100.00. A little excessive.

Rt. 23 traveling north out of Delaware is particularly bad as the speed limit is 55 then drops to 45, and back up to 55. It doesn't go up to 65 until after you leave Delaware County.

There is nothing unfair about the speed change. You are driving into a highly trafficked area and need to slow down. If you can't see the speed drop then you are not seeing the highly visible, large yellow sign. This are will only grow with more traffic with the future Kroger going in.

    True...
Police car sits up on overpass and easily comes down onto 23 behind you.

July 2007 I observed 7 places along 23 north of Delaware where either State Patrol or Sheriff's deputies were stopping cars/trucks. Avoid 23 & use radar detectors!

This is a constant issue with enforcement personnel from one specific state agency which I will not name but they have evolved from assisting motorists to making minor traffic violations into almost felony offenses.

It is govenment bureaucracy at a near zenith.

There is a new office park being constructed on US 23 just south of Orange Road on the east side of the street. This is right where the speed limit dips to 45 MPH just before Polaris Pky. There is a small dirt construction entrance that is wooded on both sides. I have seen cruisers sitting there on multiple instances.

I agree. I often see patrols on US 23, from Rte. 750, North to Delaware.

Be careful when exiting the Kohl's located on I-23 North (Delaware). When you exit out the back way onto Green Meadows, a state trooper will fine you $110.00 for not coming to a 3-second complete stop, even though you are turning right onto a service road type of road with not a single soul in sight. Ridiculous!
