I live off Kingsley and State Highway 17 - the speed trap is very extensive from this point through Green Cove Springs Southward. Watch your speed; traffic is heavily monitored.

Sunday mornings on State Highway 17 between Highway 220 and the bridge there are a number of troopers regularly pulling over motorists - all the folks late for church!

I was pulled over at Midnight on the Hwy 17/Kingsley Trap. The only car on the road. I was going 6 miles over the speed limit. I was given a ticket with a non specific speed on it. It was the first time in 19 years that I had gotten a ticket. It was for $118. I didn't think it was worth fighting and took the course on-line. The officer must have been new, he forgot to give me my license back. Of course I was too flustered to notice. Either way, I thought it was excessive.
