Speed Trap at Parmer Lane, Austin, TX

- Description: •On Parmer Lane b/w Mopac (Loop 1) and Mc Neil Drive, there are routinely traffic cops. I'd say I see them 1-3x a week patrolling. Usually there is a pair of motorcycle cops using LIDAR. They usually hide where the Sun Electronics building is on Riata Vista Circle. They usually catch west bound traffic on Parmer. You can't see them b/c they are hiding in the median on Riata Vista Circle or sometimes they are under the tree. Very sneaky. Going east bound sometimes you see cops hiding after the overpass (above the rail tracks) right before Riata Vista Circle. Cops in cars use Ka band radar. Usual patrol time is 12-3 pm although I do see them late at night.
Also be aware on Riata Trace sometimes a cop hides in the parking lot using either Laser or Ka band.
On US 183 near Anderson Mill exit, the cops sometimes hide at the bottom of the crest (to your right would be the restaurants like Cheddars etc). I bet these are the same guys that patrol Parmer Lane.
