Description: Troopers routinely cruise this area, because of the extremely long straight stretches. It's easy to loose the reins, and let your automobile stretch its legs so to speak, in this area. Troopers are well aware of this, and sit and wait for anyone who's tempted to do so...They don't need to hide, because as quickly as you get up to speed, it takes a little longer to slow down. Chances are by the time you've identified the radar, you've been tagged. They just wait till you come to them. Latest trick is posting an area that's near a construction zone with signs, that read double fines for speeding. Ugh! what next! One last remark. In the Trapper Creek Area on the same State Hwy. There's a motion activated camera and sensors across the Hwy that tags your speed and gets a photo of your lic. plate at the same time. Troopers from the comfort of there Hwy Office site you via mail! If you're coming from Anchorage heading North thru Trapper Creek keep your eyes to the west side of the hwy and you'll see the trap, same with the other direction.

Yes they are speed activated cameras. so nothing to doubt. with the whole lic# thing you are the only one allowed to drive your car, so if you let somebody do so and they speed or run a red light and it is a traffic camera the tags them the owner of the car not the driver is at fault.•

Motion activated camera... I highly doubt it. They take a picture of the car and tag and mail a ticket to the registered driver. Tell me this then, how do they know the registered driver was driving when the infraction occurred. A speeding ticket is supposed to go to the driver not the registered owner.
