  I avoid Armada altogether anymore. Many times I have traveled through Armada on my way to visit my best friend from college and his family, who lives in the area. I was, in fact, ticketed on Main Street for 30MPH in a 25MPH. Ironically, at the time, I was passed by a pickup truck that pulled into a driveway just across the street. The officer ticketed me and actually spoke to the driver of the truck who stopped and got out to get his mail. When I explained to him that the truck had just passed me at an excessive speed, which he could not have missed, he still ticketed me and told me I was the one speeding. I can only assume because I was from out of town and they needed the revenue. As a result I no longer ever go to Armada when in the area and get gas, eat, etc. The little bit of revenue from the ticket has cost their mechants much more.

  As a long time resident of the village and a friend of some of the former officers I can tell you unequivocally that that they never wrote tickets for two to three miles over the limit. Many times they would give the motorist a break and write a ticket for five over even thought the radar showed ten to fifteen over the actual limit. People just don't realize when they are given a break.

  I understand that that they were giving out tickets for doing 26 mph in a 25 mph zone. Thats how bad it is. Try to avoid the area altogether !
