Description: There are only two low speed signs, partially hidden at times. The signs are far from the main town and it appears you are out of town well before the end of the speed zone. The town prides itself on turning around it's finances by the exploitation of tourists, who rarely run the gauntlet without being cited.

    Also concur that Jemez Springs is a speed trap, also been around for 30+ years. Help make Jemez Springs more responsible... don't spend money there.

    I am a resident of Jemez Springs and I have to agree with this assessment. The village has been a speed trap for many years and the level of enforcement is extremely high! Tourists beware!
