- Description: Two Motorcycle Officers like to sit in the driveway of the small retention pond just south of the bridge, (south of Hill Dr.) after dark, using a hand held radar gun. You don't see them until your on top of them. I've seen them there numerous times between 10 & 11 P.M. this summer. They're not limited to the Troy side of the road either. I've seen them pull cars over on the Sterling Heights side also.

I live in the area and can attest to this trap. SB traffic is more susceptible since Dequindre changes from a two lane road north of Long lake (18 Mile)to a nice new 5 lane road south of Long lake. It's natural after being stuck behind a slow driver to open it up at Long Lake. Dusk seems to be the preferred time though I have seen the police at all hours.
