Description: Rt. 173 goes from 55mph to 35mph in a blink where there's nothing but cornfields approaching Oak Grove Road from the north heading into Alden. As it does this there is a downhill slight curve that Mchenry County Police hide at on the shoulder. Very easy place to score a ticket.

    This is true and they sit there without any lights on at night.
