- Description: Highway patrol officer has no lights on the top of his car and works split shifts, some in the morning and then it seems all afternoon & evening. The Sheriff's department uses gray pickups so they are not always so visible. Highway 2 from the ND State Line until just east of Culbertson is heavily patroled. There are also a number of hills and it is not uncommon to see law enforcement sitting at the bottom of a hill waiting for you to come over the hill. Also, just as you come into Brockton, just west of Culbertson on U.S. 2 and Culbertson, they like to sit and pick people up who are just coming into town and may not slow down to 25 MPH "quick enough".
