Don't know if it's a speed trap or not but you can and will get a ticket. Cross and Marginl/Main intersection Now a 4 way stop. PS Never speed South of Mocksville, doesn't matter which road 601 South, 801 South, Junction Road. Lots of Smokies around.

I have lived on this street for over 30 years and it is a real speed trap. This is a straight road that you can see a long ways ahead. Even the speed limit by a school is 35. This is nothing more than a money maker for the town.

The speed limit went from 35 to 25mph first off all on center st, second the cooleemee police are not radar certified as of yet and haven't been for a while. Also the ones who sit by the old mill to catch you are the State Troopers. I have lived on Center St in Cooleemee all my life and have never seen the Cooleemee cops do what was said above.
