Speed Trap at Alkire Street, Arvada, CO

- Description: This speedtrap is right in front of Van Arsdale Elementary School where the speed limit is 20 mph during school pick up and drop off. Be careful not to exceed 22 mph or they will ticket. A steep incline just south of the intersection doesn't help. I see a need to keep things safe at this area because of the school, but 20 mph is rediculously slow.

The map is incorrect. Van Arsedale Elem school, which indeed has strict speed enforcement, is 11 blocks south of where the map shows it. The map shows 86th, but the school is at 75th. Incidentally... they need the enforcement. The high school kids from Ralston Valley HS just up the block rip down that street with cars parked bumper to bumper on both sides of the narrow road, and apparently don't see anything wrong with that.
