During the summer months the cops sit all along the park(sometimes IN the park). The speed limit is lowered to 20mph during the summer. I watch the cops wait for the offender to go past, wait for a few seconds, then proceed to drive 50-60 mph+ to catch up. The cops create a far more dangerous situation than the ‘speeders’. Motorcycle cops will actually pull up into the park and set up with their SMDs. If anyone else were to drive in the park, they would most likely be ticketed. Speeding tickets are rarely about safety but nearly always about revenue.

ive seen cops pull out not signalling and speeding through gary park area like a bullet to catch an offender as well as driving all over town doing cal stops and failing to signal ,also saw a city cruiser flying thru on mission one eve he was a blur must have been doing 90 mph ,no lights or siren , almost ran over an elderly lady in crosswalk !!!!!!!!!
This trap is obviously still alive and well. I just got caught doing 38 in a 20 through here about 10 minutes ago. There were 4 cops on bikes picking off speeders 1 at a time from the side streets. Unfortunately I was one of them that chose not to slow down, and just drove away with a $380 ticket. Slow down everybody!
