Giddings Texas

My son was driving from Houston to Austin with his high beams on, because it was hard to see deer crossing the road at night. The police was in front of my son the entire time and stopped him at the first stop light in Giddings. He told him that he stopped him because of his high beam. The officer commenced to giving him a warning for the high beams, but written him a $299 ticket for speeding instead. There was no court date on the ticket. So, my son called for his court date, but instead they gave him a pay schedule to pay $50 a week until its paid, and after 30 days you must pay $25 extra.

This happened years ago to my son while in college, and traveling through a little town going to Lamar University in Beaumont, TX, and the officer was giving out many tickets that were not warranted and he was later fired. That was good to hear. I applaud the leaders in that town who stood up tall and took actions.
