Highway 550 North of Ouray near Ridgeway reservoir, Mile 110
Cruiser sits on side of road with radar facing Northbound just after the beginning of passing lane. The road is single lane up until this point and often a single slow car will clog the highway and everybody tries to pass at this point, right into a radar trap. Office says lots of deer in area.

I was recently ticketed here in the exact scenario described above. Slow gaping tourists drive below the limit on the only highway in an area that has limited passing lanes creating huge back ups of frustrated drivers. Once a turn lane opens up multiple cars trying to pass in the short passing lanes demands a higher than normal speed to pass and...and also generates lots of tickets apparently.
On passing back through the area a few days later I saw other people pulled over in the exact same spot.
