98 W driving out of Elberta, AL.
The city speed limit is 35MPH. The speed limit then changes to 55 MPH. There is no gradually or 45 MPH sign which is probably what throws many that drive by off. The only sign in between is the County RD 98, same color, almost same shape, therefore, would be confused at a glance to the 45 MPH sign. The City of Elberta police sit near hear to monitor and they know they will catch people heading out of time that do pay attention to this very easily misread sign. This is what I would call a speed trap.
