Washington Boulevard near Woodside Fire House

Stamford, ConnecticutJul 05, 20071 Comments

Patrol Car hides in parking lot of Woodside Fire House out of the sightline of cars driving on Washington Blvd. The speed limit is 35 I believe, most cars go 50. The best defense against a ticket is just slow down to 40 mph between the intersection of Washington Blvd. and Bridge St., and Woodside Fire House (where the cops usually are) about 1/2 mile down the road.

Comments:
i received a ticket passing this speedtrap southbound past bridge st as i passed the firehouse. the cop said i was doing 43 in a 25 mph zone. i checked thoroughly, there are NO signs stating 25 mph speed limit. the nearest one as you pass bridge street states 35 mph. the next one past the fire house is by hoyt street which states 25mph. i took it to court and they didn't prevail.
