Like so many small towns, cops are paid by tickets they write or they wouldnt even be there. A unnecessary addition to the town for sure. They had incorrect speed signs up for years that reduced speeds more quickly than Illinois law allows before correcting them. So much for the 100s if not thousands of tickets written illegally to unwary drivers. A disgrace. Town should get rid of these police it would be better off.
