Route 100, three miles south of the village
This is a great income source fot the City of Newport. There is a hill near a "T" intersection where the officer sets up. They catch people coming down the moderately steep grade traveling faster than 35 MPH. The speed at the top is 50 MPH. I beat my ticket because the officer lied under oath. However it cost me $150.00 and three days loss of work to stand my ground.
