State Highway 176 from Sptbg towards Inman near US Highway I-85
As you head from Spartanburg towards Inman (I-585) when you cross over I-85 the speed drops from 55 to 45, within another 200 yards it drops to 35. There is a bend in the road just before the Ingles shopping center and just as it becomes 35 MPH. Police will sit just at the exit of the bend where you can never see it coming. (also a place to see License checks at night)

This is an old post. Currently, if you are traveling from Spartanburg towards Inman on I-585 (US 176), the Speed Limit changes from 55 MPH to 35 MPH (one little sign in the middle of the highway) before you get to the traffic light at the junction of I-85. Apparently the authorities changed it because they were not getting enough business with reducing it 10 MPH at a time. It remains at 35 MPH for approximately one mile until you pass the First North Baptist Church and go down the hill. Everything else is spot on. There should be a law that only allows the speed to drop 10 MPH at a time.
