Huntington Avenue near Dexter Street
Providence motorcycle police officers conduct a trap on Huntington Avenue each direction. They usually work in pairs on Eastern direction of this road, which is an old industrial highway complete with guardrails and no residences. CAUTION: Another pair of motorcycle officers have recently been seen on the Western direction of Huntington Ave. They are close to the Huntington Ave/ Cranston Street intersection, and they work the same days as the officers at the other end. So don’t think your free and clear when you see officers monitoring the other side! ADDITIONAL INFO: This has been a speedtrap for quite some time in the city. The speed limit is 25 mph, yet most cars travel over 50 mph because it is a straight road, no houses or businesses and runs along railroad tracks. It even has guardrails and a divider between both directions of traffic. It is really a four lane highway, but the city does not stripe it.
