Construction zone has been in place since early 1970’s without any construction taking place. speed limit drops from 65mph to 50mph. ticket costs are double because of the zone.

Your classic construction zone speed trap. Also beware of Oregon's "safety zone" traps where they multiply your fine for speeding.
