Bay Minette, Alabama Speed Traps
McMeans Avenue, West 14th Street
Bay Minette is a greedy town in Alabama. It often places road work signs reducing speed and places police in area to ticket innocent civilians. Once you pass the signs there is no construction or delay. I have noticed this many times when passing through their entrapment and scheme to fund this town.
I no longer will stop or shop in Bay Minette because of their crooked schemes. I hope others will do so as well.
Avoid this area if at all possible because the officers only have one duty and that is to make as much money as possible for the town.
Every direction leading into city.
Hwy 31, Hwy 138, Hwy 59, and any other main road going through the city limits.
County Road 112 going onto Highway 31 into Bay Minette
This is not necessarily a speed trap, but just watch for the sheriff Dept.. They will stop you for anything! I was stopped at the intersection waiting to turn left onto 31 from 112, He and I were the only two vechicles on the road within site. He stopped me because I forgot to turn on my left turn signal! So, be warned..
200 yards off the highway 59 south at 65
When exiting the highway to gulf shores, the police sit there and ticket you as you come off the ramp. The speed limit goes from off ramp ( no posted limit, but highway driving) to 35 on route 59.. be careful to slow down otherwise $145
