Out of season traffic was very light. As soon as the speed limit changed from 45 to 35, the officer pulled out from a hidden area and issued a citation for speeding. $160.00

Canal Road near US Highway 59
Gulf Shores has a detour on canal road through a residential area. There are no speed limit signs or warnings but they are strictly enforcing 25 mph in this area. Two cars hiding in a 3 block stretch. Got me for 32 mph, $160.00 A real revenue builder for them, a real tourist friendly town. Bad part, I’m a local.
