Gurley, Alabama Speed Traps

Speed limit is 65 until the Gurley city limits. The town has a 55 mph limit which the one car enforces late at night, especially on weekends. The cop gives you a flier with the ticket that states how much you have to mail in.

as your entering madison county on us highway 72 east into gurley traveling west toward huntsvile the speed drops from 65ph to 50mph or 55mph very rareley will they give a warning and a lot of reckless tickets are issued (small town go figure).

Highway 72 has a speed limit of 65 until you hit the Gurley city limits. It drops suddenly to 55 mph. The cops are know to be ruthless, and pull over anybody. This area is patrolled by 2 locals and the usual County Sheriffs/State Troppers. They will not let you go with a warning.
