Huntsville, Alabama Speed Traps

This parkway is deceptive. it looks like an interstate with ramps and exits, but it is a state hwy and it is 50 mi per hour, which is way too slow for this area. They come out in full force in November right after the budget year ends.

On I-565, under the highway 20 overpass. They are always there, shooting both directions.

Female officer will wait on Lockheed Martin Way waiting to catch speeders coming from Wynn Drive. Limit is 35, however as this is a common throughway to and from Madison Square Mall, it is heavily travelled and rather speedy. Officer can not be seen at all coming from Wynn Drive.

When leaving Redstone Arsenal at Gate 3 (Redstone Rd/Hobbs Rd), a cop will sit in the parking lot of the park on the left side of the road.

Heading west on I565 from Huntsville, just after Rideout Rd. and Redstone Arsenal State Troopers sit under an overpass catching speeders in both east and west bound directions. Sometimes they are in marked cars, sometimes unmarked. One unmarked is a white Dodge Charger, only marked on passenger door. Can’t see them heading west until you come over the hill.
