Montgomery, Alabama Speed Traps
Federal Drive near Atlanta Highway
On Federal Dr. between Atlanta Highway and the Garrett Coluseum. 35MPH limit, and motorcycle cops do a healthy business hiding in the side streets w/radar. Heaviest in the AM.
AUM Drive near OFF Taylor Road
AUM police give countless tickets out each day, mostly in the afternoon.
Vaughn Road near Montgomery Academy
Coming from park on Vaughn road.Last turn to right in houses before Montgomery Academy. Motorcycle cop. Always there…Always
US Highway 80 W near just coming a up on Dannelly Airport
It was on Saturday, July 3,2004 @ 7.49 am when there is no rush hour traffic… in this location there is no businesses or housing. Just road.
Just inside the city limits coming out of the 65 mile per hour zone on Highway 80, into a 55 zone, he was positioned in a location where it was unavoidable except to meet the fate he had waiting for unsupecting drivers, there was no traffic except my truck on the highway and the police car which was hidden in the hollor. There was nothing to hender visability except where the police was positioned.
This was the trap that was set forth, that I was caught up in.
Please contact me if you happen to know of any recourse of action that may help my situtation or someone elses in the future. I am tired of Montgomery city revenue being paid at my expence.. I am a law abiding, insurance paying victim.
Perry St near Goveronor’s Mansion
You are driving past the Governor’s Mansion when out of no where one of Montgomery’s finest swoop down upon you (normally on a motorcycle) and pops you for a ticket. The speed limit is 30 which is way too slow.
