Mountain Brook, Alabama Speed Traps

Motorcycle cop sits at the bottom of the long, steep downhill section of Old Leeds Road right before Mountain Brook CC (when traveling West from Irondale). Why not post up in the flatter section along the country club? Because then he’d only catch actual speeders, not normally law-abiding drivers whose sole discretion was not braking hard enough to counteract gravity.

On the west side of 280 near Caldwell Mill Road the motor cops sit a lot, hidden in driveways. Be careful.

Green Valley Road is a 25 MPH limit and the MB cops love to sit just above the Knollwood Drive hidden with radar.

MB cops love to ride Overton Road in cars and they have 3-4 motorcycle cops. They normally sit at the entrance to Lockerbie (gated community), hide by the kiddie park next to the fire station. and other unlikely spots. Be careful!!

Police hide behind parked cars and catch people speeding to the high school.
