US 90 @ Ford Ave –Elementary School

the US 90 is a major thoroughfare that spans from Texas through Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida. I was very surprised to see a flashing warning sign for a school, located one block down. There is a fire department before the flashing sign. This does not appear to be safe signage and safe zoning. Looking into whether there are local ordinances, federal, state on specifics of signs for school speed limits. I am questioning why a trooper/police officer was stationed here as it may indicate that people outside the area would not be aware of the school. I am aware of other schools in Alabama near major/busy roads but there is some barrier separating the school parking lot from the interstate highway.

Goes from 55 to 30 in less than 500 ft with very little warning. Cited on return home from gulf shores to indianapolis from vacation. Saw posting, applied brakes, and then blue lights. 2000 dollars spent in alabama economy – will never be back if i cant get this dismissed. Happened at 4 am no traffic.

4 way stop. cop hides off side of road and writes speeding tickets on cars actually braking to stop. Have witnessed this and been a victim. To fight ticket court requires thousand dollar lawyer. Town has archaic court system with judges and attys. interchangable in one court session. Have also witnessed this with judge and atty. swapping robes to hear cases. no kidding. lived here many years. Local gov. less than honest, generously speaking.

Hwy 112 between Barrineau Park Rd. and CR-64

Sheriffs office hits this road very hard in the mornings mostly. One will almost always be sitting at the fire dept, another will be patrolling. Keep a close eye out, there is a third unmarked in a pick up truck with a camper shell on the back of it.
