Robertsdale, Alabama Speed Traps

To make an exact location of a trap, I created this location. I do not know how the trap is now since a well known case has rocked the state. I do know that there has not been any pro-Robertsdale comments since the case started and before there was no personal reports to me of speedtrap activity. My previous comments were deleted to what I believe was the case name, but I will not say the name now in attempt to put the decades old speedtrap into context and help people protect themselves from the trap. Also, the northern part of the Hwy 59 split is equal in terms of speedtrap. This town is one of the worst in the state and one of the worst in the state over time while other speedtraps have come and gone, Robertsdale remained a speedtrap.

Officer hides in bushes on a yard owned by a citizen. This person has azalia bushes in yard near street and officer hides with black hood under shade. Perfect concealment, by the time you see him it’s too late if you are headed from north to south on College. He’ll be on the left (east) under pine shade and behind azalia bushes.

Very highly enforced town. City lives off revenue off beach goers.

The Robertsdale PD patrols this area very well. They especially like to hide on the side of the road behind some bushes. The speed limit is 35 leaving town on 83 E and is enforced heavily.

If you are heading for the beach in Alabama you are going down this road. 59 South is taking you straight for the beach. When you hit a little town called Robertsdale the speed limit goes from 55 to 30 mph and the police sit all day long nabbing anyone going 31+. After Robertsdale it’s 55+ all the way to the beach. By the way, the minimum ticket cost in Robertsdale is $135.00. Be careful now!
