South St. Albert Road near Lennox & Inglewood

Saint Albert, AlbertaMar 24, 20080 Comments

A photordar SUV parks infront of a boulevard sign for SouthBound traffic on St. Albert Road. Just before the set of traffic lights at Lennox & Inglewood. There are no schools or ped walkways near this area. Also not a highly travelled road for pedestrians day or nite. It is just unnecessary to sit in area catching out-of-towners who travel through our City to get to work or school in the Edmonton area. Areas of better use School Zones or heavy visited pedestrian areas.

Mission Road near near Morgan Park

Saint Albert, AlbertaAug 19, 20070 Comments

This speed trap is located on Mission Road near Morgan Park at a fairly sharp bend in the road where the speed limit drops to 30 klm from 50 klm about 20 metres from the turn in either direction. The reduced speed is NOT because of the nearby Park, or any other logical reason!

30K curve in Mission past the elevators

Very slow speed. Not a safety issue in the winter only in the summer. Set up radar to catch car 10 feet before speed changes back to 50K

Forest Drive near Between Finch and Falstaff Avenue

Saint Albert, AlbertaJun 13, 20040 Comments

Photo radar vehicle (Blue Chevrolet Blazer when I seen it last) parked alongside the houses and amongst other vehicles making it very hard to spot at times. It is a playground zone however coming off of Flint Crest the speed limit is not marked.

Dawson Road

Saint Albert, AlbertaMar 13, 20040 Comments

The City of St. Albert has been trying for years to increase the speed limit along Dawson Rd. to 60 km/h from the current 50 km/h. This road is a long flat 4-lane straightaway with one set of lights. RCMP love to cruise in their patrol cars back and forth with their radar on, waiting for someone doing >65. Also, watch out for the Green electrical box heading north about halfway down…they constantly park their photo van there.
