Sherwood Park, Alberta Speed Traps
Broadmoor Blvd. north of costco
There is a portable photoradar setup that looks like a small grey electrical box set up periodically to catch people just before the limit changes from 50 km/h to 70 km/h
Brentwood Blvd. and Wye Rd.
Red light camera at this intersection is very sensitive. Watch for it!
Wye Road & Ordze Road
There is a intersection camera that is photoradar as well as the red light camera. Catches drivers headed West, towards Edmonton.
Sherwood Drive near Baseline Road
This is a Photo radar trap that is hidden in what looks like an electrical box. When you look at it you will notice that there is a small metal arm with a camera at the end of it popping out of the top of the box. You are given some warning, about 2 meters ahead there is a white and green sign saying to reduce speed. But it is small and is placed on the ground so it is very hard to see. Note: It isn’t always in the same place.
Wye Road near Radio Tower
There is a tall radio tower that requires a driveway for access. Photoradar sits in this driveway catching westbound traffic (Towards Edmonton). Careful though, there is a grassy hill before this driveway and you might see them too late!
