Bullhead City, Arizona Speed Traps
Road through Rotary Park
Careful when driving in Rotary Park; the speed limit is 15 mph. The PD like to wait in one of the parking lots in the early morning even when the park is not being used. The terrain and winding road hide them until it’s too late and “They Got Ya”.
Bullhead Parkway & Montana Place
Going south on Bullhead Parkway just past Montana Place a radar unit sits in the dirt lot. He is on an angle facing northeast so your radar detector won’t pick him up until you have cleared Montana Place and started down hill. By then he has you.
Az. State Hwy. 68 and Landon Dr.
Going west on Hwy. 68 it is a 6% downgrade. Turning off Landon Dr going west down hill, you have to speed up account of the fast downhill traffic. Cops are sitting west, about a mile (down hill). Speed limit is 55 mph but the normal flow is 65+. Get a ticket here is $145.00+. beware
Going up and down Silver Creek Rd.
The speed limit posted each direction is 35 mph. Cops patrol and ticket this hill all the time. It is next to impossible to climb a huge hill doing 35 mph or to coast down the same hill doing 35 mph. Be careful! Tickets here are expensive!
Heather St & Locust Blvd
Motorcycle cop sits in the morning waiting for soccer moms to speed there kids to school.25 mph is the posted and everyone does 45mph.
