N Bullard Ave between Encanto Blvd and Earll Drive

Goodyear, ArizonaFeb 25, 20210 Comments

Going north on Bullard Ave with a speed limit of 45 mph, the road goes up a small hill over a canal on the way to Indian School Rd. At the top of that hill, the speed limit changes to 35 mph. Between the northbound and southbound sides of the road is a large median, where a police car has started occasionally parking late at night. It’s not every night, but I’ve seen it on at least three or four separate nights. Once, I forgot to start slowing down until a bit later when the police car was there, and shortly after I started braking, the police car’s lights turned on, but they didn’t follow me or pull me over, I guess because they noticed I was just a little late to slow down.

Bullard and Van Buren

Goodyear, ArizonaJun 10, 20100 Comments

Goodyear has a motorcycle patrol. The patrolman is stopped on Bullard facing north waiting for the light. His eyes are looking north to give the impression he is waiting for the light. He actually has his radar facing west to catch speeder eastbound on Van Buren trying to make the green light. The patrolman has also had similar setups on other intersections.
