Phoenix, Arizona Speed Traps
In-between 7th St. & Cave Creek Rd. on Deer Valley Rd.
This stretch of road is infested with a bunch of motorcycle cops with nothing better to do. They literally sit, point a laser/radar gun at passing And oncoming traffic, pull you over, ticket you, and then return to their post and do it over and over again. I’ve seen it firsthand. Do Not speed thru this area! Spots I’ve seen them hang out at are the Cholla Custom Cabinets building (Behind cynder-block wall), Stool and Dinnette Factory, the parking lot next to the Pet Resort just before 16th St. Phoenix Pre-cast (near the cynder-block sign), the Water Treatment facility area, and at 22nd St. where the road is a T- intersection. Speed limit is 40mph. Very Very easy to speed because it is artificially set too low. Be Aware!!!
State Route 51 & Loop 101
While driving on the Loop 101 Eastbound and merging on to the SR 51 South, there is a new photo mobile speed enforcement van. This van is a clearly marked DPS Suburban and is parked on the right shoulder after entering the 51 southbound. What makes this location interesting is that the speed limit on the 101 is 65 MPH and decreases to 55 MPH due to construction within a short period of time.
Interstate 10 & I-17
At the end of the 7th Street tunnel going westbound there is now a photo radar truck (Suburban) parked on the center median right at the exit of the tunnel. His truck is backed up to the retaining wall. I saw several photo radar camera flashes on Sat. Jun 14 around 7:30PM. There was no warning of photo enforcement and traffic was heavy. The next exit nearest this location is the I-17 on-ramp exits.
31 st Avenue
31 St Ave from Deer Valley to Beardsly 25 mph will get you at 32 mph. Motorcycle cop hides at different places at all time of the day.
Under I-10 Carpool Ramp to I-60 Bypass
There are 2 photo trap white van under the I-10 carpool ramp to I-60. It taking speed trap on car pool lane north and south I-10. It happened before rush hour 2:45 pm.
