Prescott Valley, Arizona Speed Traps
In front of Sam’s Club where speed chngs from 55 to 45
Starting Friday, 26 March, Prescott Police have 4 new white motorcycles with laser and on board printers etc. 4-6 PV police cars were parked in Sam’s gas exit taking car after car heading into Prescott Valley, and the 4 motor cycles were taking car after car heading toward Prescott where the road opens to 6 lanes before narrowing back to 4. I saw 5 cars pulled over at one time on both sides of the road and still three motorcycle cops shooting lasers. Like kids with new toys…
Florentine Road between Yavapai Rd and Glossford Hill
Town radar vans either side of this posted 25 MPH road. NOTE: no vans and no warning signs later in the year. Tripod mounts for flash and cameras will be difficult to see!
Navajo Drive
The brown van or the white SUV usually park south of Yavapi on either side of the road by the construction site.
State Hwy 69 & N Yavapai Rd W
There is an unexpected speed camera about a quarter of a mile past the Fain Road exit on Hwy 69 Westbound, mid-way up the hill and near the cluster of signs announcing civic organizations (Rotary, Lions, etc.). The speed limit drops to 45 before you are expecting it as there aren’t businesses or exit roads yet. Beware the horrendous $300+ fines that Prescott Valley levies, and the gauntlet" of speed and red-light cameras for the next 10 miles or so until you get past the Prescott Valley "den of carpetbaggers"."
