State Highway 69 near Costco Corner

Prescott, ArizonaMar 28, 20061 Comments

As speed lowers from 45 to 55 to 45 on Hwy 69 the police have radar in areas around hills and curves. The speed repeatedly changes and the radar guns you as a group. This is done at the posted sign change. There are times when 5-6 cars and motorcycles are working both sides.I was given a ticket for 16 over right at the 55 to 45. I was 6 over if that as I clocked my tires. I was also given no insurance, although I presented a PD bill. I was told it was not the Card. The courts accepted my PD bill. I was later informed the officer tricked me when he stated it was My bumper that was clocked out of the group. I was told from a person with ADOT that Prescott does not have that type of radar. That radar is in Phx. The type used here clocks as a group and then they just pick out the larger vehicles to ticket. I would like Photo radar used. Then the truth be said.

Willow Creek Road near Do It Yourself Car Wash Auto Spa

Prescott, ArizonaDec 27, 20040 Comments

On several occasions, I have witnessed Prescott Police Department enforce speed limits on a driveway approximately 1/8 to 1/4 mile south of the Prescott Do It Yourself Auto Spa/Car Wash on the East side of Willow Creek Road. They may be in either car or motorcycle. On two occasions, I have seen them work in pairs. Take special caution Riddle students.
