State Highway 89A near Dry Creek Road
1/4 mile West of Dry Creek Road on Hwy 89A there is an indented private drive. A radar equipped motor cycle officer makes frequent speeding stops to East bound vehicles. (1/2 mile further West the speed limit drops drastically from 55 to 40.)
Dry Creek Road near State Route 89A
The police station is located right off Dry Creek Rd. The speed limit is 25. It is a particular hazard travelling southbound toward 89A because the speed limit drops from 35 to 25 for no apparent reason.

This is a heavily patrolled highway between Cottonwood and Sedona, commuters get pulled over daily. There is a sudden and unrealistic 10MPH drop in the speed limit before one reaches the Mobile Home park while driving North, where the DPS car lies in wait…Going South toward Cottonwood at Lower Red Rock Loop Rd, there is very wide curve which dips down and it is near impossible to maintain the 55 MPH speed limit, and I see motorists pulled over several times a week for going too fast. Beware!

Unmarked silver Pontiac GTO cruises 89A looking to get you to try and gun it past him, then flips a switch and the car lights up like a red and blue Christmas tree. Beware if you see a silver sports car following you closely, because the officer is probably pacing you.
