Snowflake, Arizona Speed Traps
State Highway Concho near 6 mi. E. of Snowflake
Sheriff’s deputies are pulling people over all day and night on Concho Hwy just E. of Snowflake and within the city limits on Main St. all the way through Taylor. I witnessed 4 other stops within 5 miles on the same day (excluding my own stop). I returned to take digital photos and video of the conditions, traffic, weather, surroundings, places they were hiding, and other stops they made the same day.
State Highway 277 near State Highway 77
Speed limit on Highway 277 between Highway 77 & The Ranch House Inn is 35 mph. Between the Ranch House Inn west, to Freeman Hollow Road is 45 mph. Be careful. This feels like a 55 mph zone but it is not…and they will bust you.
State Highway 260 mile marker 306
Ambient speed limit of 55 is reduced to 45 for no apparent reason, ie- where there is no increase in traffic volume, no pedestrian flow, no increased side conflict in terms of driveways or intersections, no street lights, no traffic lights, no obvious increase in urbanization. Location is far outside of business district. This posted speed reduction enables police to give tickets for 15 mph over instead of a probable warning for 5mph over.
