I-10 West as you approach Tucson City limits is slowed to 65 mph, then 55 mph. AZ HP swarms in this area as the driving conditions are not only conducive to 75mph+, but driving slower than this is actually a hazard. (Just for kicks, I have tried to drive 55 as posted and can tell you that I was in eminant danger of being rear-ended!) HP uses VASCAR, RADAR, and Pacing in these areas. It is not uncommon to see as many as 8 HP cars between MP 281 and I-19.

Officer hides in median just after small bridge. Several miles after are also typical trap areas. Both West and East bound traffic are exploited. Posted limit of 55 mph (transition area of 75 / 65 / 55.
