Mile 21-12 on Interstate 8 westbound

Yuma, ArizonaFeb 18, 20111 Comments

Speed limit changes from 75 to 65 mph. I was doing 65 according to my GPS and some guy passes me doing about 67, and HE got NAILED!

Limits are generous in AZ, but strictly enforced. The state is desperate for cash and photo radar has been quashed, so live bait pays the penalty.

I’ve never been thru that stretch without at least one car stopped by Hwy Patrol.

Interstate 8 near Yuma

Yuma, ArizonaSep 21, 20091 Comments

Any point thru Yuma, north or southbound. More pull-overs during daytime hours than night as I have witnessed but wouldn’t chance it either way. I have lived here for 2 years now and never had a problem until last 6 months. Pulled over twice and so have many, many friends and associates lately. Crackdown on speeding I guess so don’t even be tempted to speed thru Yuma anymore. I live in the foothills 8 miles from town and I drive I-8 daily. Lately, there is rarely a day that goes by that I don’t see At least one motorist pulled over, to and from work.
