hwy 89 going to lonoke by cross roads
there is one sign a mile be coming to cross roads saying 55 in a half on mile it goes to 45 then at the cove it says 50 again then after the cove it goes back to 45 the cops is at the church or cross roads and will stop you if your going more then 50 i got stop going 53.
East Main Street near State Route 89
Police sit off roadway on grounds of Eastside Elementary during non-school hours. In position to checks speeds of cars going in either direction. Speed limit is 25 mph in the section they monitor. Just before this section East Main is a county road with speed limit at 35 mph, but safe speed is closer to 45 mph.

Campground Road near State Highway 89
This is a 7 mile two lane county road that had its historical speed limit of 55 mph peeled back to 45 mhp over its entire length. The first 1 1/2 mile is homes and a school and the Cabot PD do a great job of interpreting wreckless speeders from those just a few mph over. However, the Lonoke County Sheriff takes over just after the city limits and will sit all along the road waiting to give tickets. There is no reason this road (after the elementary school) should not be 55 mph. It is as wide as a state highway and very straight. Be careful if you drive this road, especially as you near the Cherry Rd. area.

Police will sit at 1 of 4 different spots along 1st St. between The Mean Pig and Allman/Bevis Ballfields at various hours of the day.
